Occlutech, founded in 2003, is a rapidly expanding European hi-tech company specializing in developing and manufacturing cardiac occlusion devices and other vascular implants. The company has developed several new, unique products using a wide range of state of the art technological capabilities and proprietary know-how.

In its own clean room facilities Occlutech carries out essential production steps and has full control of each development and manufacturing stage. The company and facilities are certified to ISO 13485 standards and the clean room operates to the highest classification for a controlled, particle free environment. The patented cardiac occlusion devices are manufactured using a unique braiding process, developed internally at Occlutech. Each product is individually manufactured using a nitinol or polymer strand that is applied to the braider and formed to shape the most versatile devices on the market.

The braiders are purpose built and represent the core technology in Occlutech´s capability to create unique and differentiated products.

Occlutech´s innovative plasma welding process is a unique method that allows a clamp-free safe fixation of the proximal delivery connection in combination with the individual braiding, keeping the distal disc free from protruding elements.

The unique braiding method makes the use of clamps to restrain the nitinol strands unnecessary and gives the devices a higher degree of adaptability to the coronary structures while allowing greater freedom with regard to sizing compared to the alternatives.
